If a class you want to take is full, we strongly encourage you to add your name to its waitlist. Seats can open up before camp due to cancellations, instructors occasionally are able to increase the class size, and sometimes we are able to add new sections.

Wait list 032 Find out about the fabulous new Space Science badges! We'll do fun astro activities for the Daisy, Brownie, & Junior badges. (Warning: some of the projects are edible!) We'll also learn about the GS/NASA partnership to form GS astronomy clubs.

Wait list 001 No-sew blanket - make a blanket with new friends! Use it at camp or as a gift. If you can cut fabric and tie a knot, you can make these blankets.

Homemade Corn Relish

 
Wait list 013 Dr. Seuss and Cindy-Lou Who say, "Relish, relish, made of corn. Make some, make some, toot your horn!" Come and learn how to make homemade corn relish. This wonderful condiment can be served with everything from hamburgers and hotdogs to chicken and fish.

Wait list 023 Dr. Seuss says, "I love jam! Jam I am! Let's make jam!" Come and learn how to make delicious homemade strawberry jam.
Horseback Trail Ride

Wait list 045 Participants in this activity must have previous riding experience and be able to lead a horse, mount, dismount, and control the horse at the walk. This activity lasts about one hour. It will start promptly at the posted start time; latecomers are not able to be added to class. The group will spend approximately 30 minutes in the arena reviewing safety procedures, and 30 minutes on the trail. Fee must be pre-paid at time of class registration.
Intro to Fiber / Working with Yarn
Wait list 004 Come learn about different kinds of yarn and tools so you can better choose what to use and how to care for the projects your troop is might be working on.

Relaxing restorative massage by one of our two licensed massage therapists. Focus on trouble spots, pain relief, stretching, trigger points, joint therapy. Fee must be pre-paid at time of class registration.

Wait list 014 Learn 3 paper techniques to create a quilt design with paper. You will complete 3 projects to take home that you could add to a front of a card, use in a scrapbook, or frame. This is something you could do with all levels of girls. You will also get to try cutting a pattern using a die and Big Shot machine and learn about repositionable tape.

Riflery

Wait list 058 Go for the bull's eye. After a safety orientation, a riflery instructor will guide you through practice shooting with BB guns. This activity lasts about one hour, allowing 15 minutes to get there and 15 minutes to get to your next activity. Participants should plan to arrive at the posted class start time; latecomers may not be able to be added to class.
Fee must be pre-paid at time of class registration.
Stargazing Sampler

Wait list 002 Join us on Friday evening for an indoors Stargazing Sampler! We'll have a brief introduction to "What's Up?" in the January night sky using maps & smart phone apps. We'll then have a bit of storytelling time where we'll share constellation and star stories from cultures around the world (not just the usual Greek & Roman myths). We will also pop outside for a guided tour of the winter constellations, weather permitting.

Tea Time

Wait list 029 Are you a fan of Les Miserables, Marie Antoinette, or Coco Chanel? Do you love french food, cafes and bistros? Then join us as we enjoy a French-themed Afternoon Tea. The menu will include french inspired sweet and savory tea treats. Participants will learn about and taste a variety of teas including black, green, herbal and more. You will get ideas for hosting your own tea party, whether you are entertaining a women’s group, girl friends or young ladies.
