Arm-Knitted Hood  New

Class Description Instructor Provides Participant Brings Participant Takes Home Min Size Max Size Class Length Class Fee Instructor
You will learn how to knit a medieval hood out of super bulky yarn with just your arms. It will be a great cowl when you go home.

No knitting experience necessary
Pattern and instruction. Scissors, bulky yarn, and a shopping bag.

Details: You will need chunky/bulky yarn (at least a 6 thickness on the label). Each skein should be at least 50 yards (75 is better). If you go wth a regular bulky yarn (Bernat Blanket or Lion Brand Jiffy Quick type) you will need three (3) skeins to get the thickness we need for the hood. If you use something like Loops & Threads Ginormous or Bernat Really Big super Bulky yarn you will only need one skein. If you want to wear the hood with a medieval costume on Saturday night you will want to use black, brown and/or grey, but otherwise choose the color(s) you want for your cowl. You will also need a shopping bag to hold the yarn while you are working. Michael's,Joann's and Hobby Lobby are all good sources. You can also find sales online.
You will leave the class with one cowl/hood about 24"around that can be worn about your neck or hood up over your head (pooled around your neck). 6 15 1½ hrs Free Marie Ross
