Your party headquarters for camping. Mandatory training for troops planning an overnight experience with their girls using indoor facilities (hotels, cabins, lodges, etc.). Includes: GSGATL indoor facilities, other approved facilities, ceremonial fires, indoor and outdoor activities, health and safety, meal planning, packing and equipment.

Camp Helper

Camp helpers assist the Planning Committee by collecting class rosters and taking photos of classes in progress. You'll walk around camp and see what the classes are doing (this will help you pick which class you want to take next year!) You may also get to do some administrative tasks like filing or stuffing envelopes. Receive a $5 rebate at the end of your session as our thank-you! Exploring Girl Scout traditions and their uses with troops, planning ceremonies with your girls, types and uses of ceremonies in Girl Scouts.
Materials for trying out several ceremonies. Before class a very large handout will be Emailed. It is about 150 pages, and should be saved digitally, NOT PRINTED, in order to save trees. ,Participants are asked to look over the handout and select three ceremonies that they would like to try out in class. Chain Maille Key Rings New

Chain Maille is one of the earliest forms of metal armor dating back to the 4th Century BC. In this class you will learn the basic techniques of Chain Maille, connecting metal jump rings to one another creating an artful design, by making a Mardi Gras memorabilia key ring. You will also receive handouts with instructions for other chain designs, info for suppliers of materials, and jewelry ideas. Participants will climb 20–35 ft in the air and complete at least two elements. This activity includes two climbs, ground school, and a cooperative game. Silk Screening T-Shirts
Participants will use the equipment to silk screen a t-shirt or item of their choice with a logo featuring this years theme. This is not a drop off, but you may leave as soon as your item has been processed. Screen. paints and any necessary tools, paper to put behind shirt, clothespins and line to hang items. Participant needs to bring t-shirt or other item with a flat blank surface of at least 12"x12". Small tote bags and t-shirts with pockets on the other side do not do well. Bring a hanger for t-shirt to dry afterwards.
