JUL – Continue establishing classes/trainers. Entertainment committee to finalize framework for weekend events. Council requested class requisition forms submitted to council. Publicity to provide save the date info to membership specialists for inclusion in area newsletters. Purchase check-in folders (usually 10/$1 (or sometimes one cent) during Back to School sales) if they haven’t been donated. (2010 back-to-school week was 7/11 – 7/17). Complete first draft of registration information packet (excludes class schedule).
Committee Reports
Entertainment (Sheila Mills) – updated the weekend agenda. Saturday night sing-along – campfire in the fireplace, Marie Wright has 2 screens, Melonie and Karen Mc have overhead projectors. We can display words to songs on the screens. Include “legacy ashes” ceremony.
Publicity (Barb Osment) – not present –we need poster and “save the date” flyer for Trainer Weekend, SU Team conference is going to be August 6th at Roswell St. Baptist Church (8:30 – 4:00), and September Cluster meetings. We need to be included in the 100th Anniversary Events section. Jeanne has ~500 business card size (2”x4”) magnets – we could put a label/sticker on the magnet with “Save the Date” info to pass out SU Team Conference. Cheryl had 250 labels the right size and gave to Jeanne (Avery 5163) – Kippy/Jeanne to design the “save the date” label.
Historian (Rose Lowe) – Rose has been pricing scrapbook supplies (will work within the given budget) and has started coming up with some fun ideas.
Meals (Kathy Stephan) – Kathy sent Melissa the Juliette Low Centennial cookbook and they were going to see if they could use a possible dessert from the cookbook. Still working on Saturday dinner option - Consider baked potatoes instead of mashed potatoes to satisfy dietary restrictions with the fried chicken and beans.
Website (Marie Lott) – the website has been set up – www.3leaves.org/mm2012. Minutes and other materials are posted.
Registration (Marie W) – Marie provided the database to the developers and has started working on cleaning up reports, etc. in the database.
Unit Checkin/Camp Setup (Kippy) – Kippy needs to get materials from Laurie (bring to next meeting).
Trainers/Classes (Mary) - Mary will send out a preliminary class list prior to our meeting this month with suggestions, wants and needs on the evaluations that I have...this will be a start. She will also inquire with Tenequa what classes we can have offered.
Admin (Lianne) – no update.
Camper Recognitions/Door Prizes (Diane) – no update
Our next meeting will be on 8/25/11 at 7PM at a new location – possibly Panera Bread near Northlake Mall? (Food was fine at Boston Market, but it was too loud – no private room). Have a great month everyone!
