Kippy to change class form to 2010 and get started on class confirmations. Sheila is handling the council classes – she’ll complete the requested class forms and submit to council (copy Lianne).
Frances found very cute “foam” sea turtle visors for the committee. She also showed us the new swap necklaces. They will be made from macramé cord this year instead of stuffed fabric. Lanyard hooks will be used to hold a wooden fish/starfish/etc. to be used as nametag. VERY CUTE!

Instructor Liaison to schedule 2 - 15 minute orientation sessions for instructors (must attend prior to first class). Lianne to add to the registration form so instructors SIGN UP for an orientation session.
Lianne has emailed Becky regarding our fall retreat. Options to ask Becky – 10/16, 10/23, 11/6, or 11/13. UPDATE: We have decided on 11/12 – 11/14 for our weekend retreat – mark your calendars!!
Lianne to check with Ranger about options for planning committee arriving Thursday night (all stay in Echo Hill) so we’d have all day Friday to get set up. UPDATE: We can get Echo Hill for an additional night on Thursday – cost is $100 extra. Do we want to go there?
We reviewed committees/committee descriptions and timeline. Lianne will distribute drafts for review and we’ll finalize at next meeting.

UPDATE: Colleen Gerrior will be the new council representative on the committee - she is the Membership Specialist for Cherokee/Bartow counties and will also act as a liaison between Mountain Magic and the Area 4 counties. Lisa Wust has agreed to drive us to the November retreat at Becky Harris' house.
