MOUNTAIN MAGIC LEADER WEEKEND MEETING MINUTES March 7, 2008 - 7:00 – 9:00 PM

A celebration party was held at Lianne’s house.  We enjoyed dinner from Moe’s and we pulled out the blender for frozen Margaritas and Pina Coladas.

The planning committee compiled “lessons learned” from the 2008 weekend (see the emailed 'Lessons Learned' document).

We picked the dates for our committee meetings for the upcoming year. Typically, they will be the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM at the VSC:

4/17, 5/15, 6/19, 7/17, 8/21, 9/18, 10/16, 11/20, 12/18, 1/15/09, 1/23-1/25/09 – MOUNTAIN MAGIC!!

We thought that it worked out well to have a shorter early bird registration and shorter overall registration.

We discussed the planning committees and decided to table the discussion for future meetings.  We signed up for committee jobs.  Lianne to invite folks who expressed interest in being on the planning committee to the next meeting.

We sorted all the class feedback forms and reviewed feedback from all the classes. We got envelopes ready to mail to the instructors so they can incorporate changes into next year’s classes.  Lianne to compose a letter to the instructors thanking them for volunteering and inviting them to return next year.  Lianne to stuff letter in envelopes and mail to instructors.

We compiled list of possible new classes to offer:

Beginning Knitting – Cynthia Reid

Kaliedoscopes – Shandra Drew

Stained Glass – Joann Merritt

Photography - ?

Need to look through the rest of the feedback forms for additional classes and provide to workshops committee folks.

Our next regular committee meeting will be Thursday 4/17/08 at 7:00 PM at the VSC.
