How to Get Your Own Troop Web Page Started
Information for troops in the Three Leaves Service Unit
There are many ways to get your troop web page off the ground. We have room on our Three Leaves Service Unit website to host webpages for all of our troops. Troop websites can be as simple or as full-featured as you'd like.
- Your troop's website will have the URL of http://www.3leaves.org/yourtroopnumber (for example: http://www.3leaves.org/4057, http://www.3leaves.org/4715, etc.).
- Every troop has an email address that you may start using immediately (Troop1234 @ 3Leaves.org). Your troop email currently is delivered to the troop's 01 advisor. You may change this to any other designated adult representative, if desired.
- Please read the web guidelines
from GSUSA before posting any troop or group information.

This is the easiest way for beginners! Just fill out this starter form! Then
- Create a Word, Powerpoint, Excel or simple text document & email that file to the webmaster@3Leaves.org.

We will create & post simple web pages for you from the files you send in.

Remember not to post girls' last names, phone numbers or email addresses.

Learn to create your own web pages! Try a free html editor like Web Dwarf, or an inexpensive one like CoffeeCup. Both have fairly good reviews (but your Three Leaves webmaster can't give tech support on these products!) Or go to Tucows & select from the many other freeware or shareware html editors. More expensive products such as Microsoft's Frontpage and Macromedia's Dreamweaver are excellent for web page creation.

If you are comfortable with web page creation, or if you've just made your first webpage & want to get it published, send an email for information about uploading your webpages & graphics to our website. Be sure to include your troop number & your telephone number in your email.
If you already have your troop website up & running elsewhere, send us the URL & we'll put a link to your current site.
